What material is used in weaving a Nivi Silk Saree?

All of our Handloom Silk Sarees are just that, pure silk woven into stunning designs by our handloom weavers. This makes the saree light and easy to carry once draped. The zari gives it a rich, classy and premium look.

Do you have sarees that are not silk?

We do carry semi-silk sarees that are stunning and easy to drape and can be found under the “Semi-silk Stunners” section. Having said that, at Nivi Silks, our aim is to be your go to store for Premium Silk Sarees. Most of our sarees will continue to be Pure Silk.

How do I care for my Silk Saree?

For every Silk Saree purchased, a card will be enclosed with instructions on how to care or your silk saree. Some important tips:

• Dry Cleaning is the way to go.

• If needed, iron using low heat.

• After wearing, dry indoors or in a shaded area to remove sweat.

• Avoid plastic covers or cardboard boxes for long term storage.

• Wrap with tissue paper or cotton cloth to protect your silk saree from insects, dust, moisture and to avoid blackening of Zari.

• Use of silica gel sachets is recommended.
